Airmasters Model
Airplane Club invites you to attend our annual Fall Fly-in on
October 7, 2006. This remote control flying event will be held at
our flying field located north of Albany and east of Leesburg, GA on
Hwy 32E. It's just east of the Lee County Public Works Dept., at
the intersection of Mossy Dell Rd. & Hwy 32.
A significant
portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit needy families
in our area. We hope to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner
plus Christmas gifts for several families.
We have a number
of exciting items to be raffled throughout the day. There will be
drawings for both the registered pilots and the spectators. Raffle
tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event.
The first 30
pilots to register will receive a "Goody Bag" with an assortment of
items. The pilot registration fee will be $10. A current AMA
license is required to fly.
We’ll have a
“trainer” plane and assistant available for you to try your hand at
flying a remote control airplane, at no charge.
As always, we'll
have coffee and doughnuts in the morning, hamburgers and hot dogs
plus the trimmings beginning mid morning and soft drinks and water
all day.
There will be a
mid day flying demonstration with several types of RC aircraft.
There will be a jet, helicopter, aerobatic and pattern planes, plus
a “U” control plane. Mac Hodges (from Andersonville) and Dan
Stevens will fly the B-29 and Bell X-1.
This event is FREE
TO THE PUBLIC, so come out and watch some impressive RC pilots and
their scale aircraft. For additional information, please visit our
